Our Impact Ally Grants

We Support People and Organizations

Panhandle Pride, Inc. is a membership driven service organization offering advocacy and support to the LGBTQIAP+ community.  We provide financial support to organizations who are focused on our impact areas by funding specific programs that help individuals.  Our Community Councils bring those that share our mission together to collaborate.  In addition to our support of organizations, we assist people in crisis and provide scholarship opportunities to LGBTQIAP+ people.

Our mission dictates that we financially support organizations who focus on improving one of our three impact areas: 1) Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion; 2) Awareness & Understanding; 3) Health, Safety, & Wellbeing.  

We Build a Diverse and Inclusive Community

The Texas Panhandle is a particularly harsh environment for funding for LGBTQIAP+ focused organizations.  In 2023, the Board of Directors authorized 20% of our total annual fundraising event revenue to be disbursed annually to organizations who are focused on one of our three impact areas for specific programs that help individuals.  We call these our Impact Ally Grants.

We prioritize funding for LGBTQIAP+ groups and organizations that are:

A)  Serving the LGBTQIAP+ Community, and within these groups, we will especially prioritize those focused on:

1. Trans women and femmes 
2. Non-binary/non-conforming/gender diverse
3. Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC)
4. Immigrants 
5. Disabled people/People with disabilities
6. Elders

B)  Innovatively supporting people when or where nobody else is, especially:

1. Grassroots organizations and groups that were started with love, energy, and resources by the people who the organization is set up to serve. We believe in supporting the people closest to the issues to be empowered to create the solutions for themselves.
2. Work that is creatively reimagining what it means to provide direct services.
3. Organizations and groups that are not exclusively LGBTQIAP+ focused but are led by queer and trans people who are leading inherently from an intersectional perspective.

C)  Smaller, grassroots, and others who don’t have access to mainstream funding sources, especially organizations and groups that are focusing on issues that are impacting LGBTQIAP+ people at the intersection of social identities, including work that is focused on:

1. Youth support
2. Anti-violence
3. Supporting people living with HIV/AIDS
4. Housing and homelessness
5. Senior and elder support
6. Immigration
7. Supporting and decriminalizing sex workers
8. Incarceration/criminal injustice and restorative justice

The Impact Ally Grant Process

PRE-AWARD

1.  Opportunity.  Does your program focus on one or more of our three impact areas?  Click on a link to learn more.

2.  Eligibility:  Does your organization qualify for funding?

• Must have a positive relationship with and support the mission of Panhandle Pride, Inc.
• Must have a program that provides support or services to individuals.
• We do not provide funding for administrative, operating, or fundraising costs.  We fund specific programs that support individuals.

3.  Apply

• Must apply online and supply all necessary documents.
• Must apply before December 1, 2024, at 5:00 pm CST.

AWARD

All applications will be evaluated using a scoring system with higher scores receiving the first opportunity for funding.  Funded amounts will be determined by the number of applicants, requested amount, and program relevance.  We award 100% of our allocated funds.  Awards will be announced in December 2024 and funds distributed by January 2, 2025.

POST-AWARD

1.  Grantees must execute all necessary agreements.

2.  Grantees must complete the deliverables of the agreement.

3.  Grantees must submit a final report to close out the grant.
