Panhandle Pride, Inc. is a membership driven service organization offering advocacy and support to the LGBTQIAP+ community. We provide financial support to organizations who are focused on our impact areas by funding specific programs that help individuals. Our Community Councils bring those that share our mission together to collaborate. In addition to our support of organizations, we assist people in crisis and provide scholarship opportunities to LGBTQIAP+ people.
Panhandle Pride, Inc. focuses on three impact areas including diversity, equity, and inclusion; awareness and understanding; and health, safety and wellbeing. Our goal is to strengthen organizations by sharing their mission; organizing with purpose; advocating for our community; providing financial assistance; and keeping everyone informed.
The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Community Council consists of one representative from each active Business Ally member. The purpose of the Council is to build strong employer DEI programs to improve employment opportunities for our community.
The Awareness & Understanding Community Council consists of three Panhandle Pride members and other interested persons in the Community. The purpose of the Council is to promote programs and training to bring awareness and understanding to people about bias against the LGBTQIAP+ community.
The Health, Safety, & Wellbeing Community Council consists of three Panhandle Pride members and representatives from other community agencies. The purpose of the Council is to promote health and wellbeing services for our community and assist people in crisis situations.
